Whether you’ve recently discovered Burning Man and want to figure out how to make that magic last all year long, or you’re a grizzled vet with experience, time and tools to share, we could use a hand here in Chicago. Several of them, really! As a do-ocracy, we’re basically limited to what we - and you- want to do. In no particular order, here are a few things we always need a hand with:
Our core activities are the monthly (ish) Meet and Greet, Illinois’s own regional B.U.R.N. Burn (Spring or Fall) , and of course the desperately needed Decompression (following TTITD), but our events calendar also includes fundraisers and we would love your help to make more things happen!
Our official mission is rooted in the Arts.
We have a bank account and all sorts of tools at our disposal, and could always use more hands on deck keeping them humming along and maintain financial transparency.
All of our programming is self-funded by our events and donations graciously provided by our community. We are always looking for grants writers.
The Burning Man Regional Network is an extension of the Burning Man experience, supporting it as a global cultural movement. Globally, Regional Contacts help local Burners connect with each other, while bringing Burning Man principles and culture into their local communities through events and activities, year-round. These are the RCs (Regional contacts) of our city and how to reach out.
