Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much are tickets?

A: Tickets are $60 through April 15th. Ticket prices increase to $70 on April 16th and will remain at $70 until online ticket sales close at 11:59pm on May 13th.

Q: How much are tickets for minors?

A: Tickets for minors who will be 15 years of age or younger at the time of the event are $10.

Q: Can I buy my ticket at the Gate?

A: Unless the event sells out in advance, tickets will be available at the Gate for $80. Cash only; please bring exact change.

Q: Is there a Low Income Ticket Program?

A: B.U.R.N. burn is not offering a Low Income Ticket Program this year. However, we recognize that the ticket price may determine whether or not some burners can attend our event, and we don’t want to create a financial barrier to entry. Last year, there was a successful and informal “sponsor a burner” practice through Facebook, and we will continue with that practice. If you want to sponsor a burner, please email communications@boldurban.org and we’ll connect you with a burner-in-need via Facebook. You can also donate any amount when purchasing your ticket. In 2018, B.U.R.N. Burners sponsored 5 folks who would not have otherwise been able to attend.

Q: Are children allowed to come to B.U.R.N. burn?

A: Yes! All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian, and said parent/guardian is responsible for the minor for the duration of the event. Minors are not required to have government issued ID but must arrive at the Gate with their parent or guardian - unaccompanied minors will be turned away.

Burners under 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a 21+ parent or legal guardian, both at entry and at all times during the event. Children ages 15 and under must have a Kid's Ticket ($10); Children ages 16 and older require full-price tickets. Minors are not required to have government-issued ID but please be prepared to show proof of age.

Prepare children in advance for the kinds of things that they might see and hear. Nudity, iconoclastic art, sexuality, rude language, cultural commentary and "weird" behavior are all part of any Burn.  Failing to adequately supervise minors will result in immediate ejection from B.U.R.N. burn without exception or recourse.

Q: I purchased a ticket but can no longer attend the event. Can I get a refund?

A: B.U.R.N. burn is an arts education and community organization fundraiser. As such, we are not refunding tickets. If you purchase a ticket and can no longer attend the event, tickets are transferable.

Q: How do I transfer a ticket I purchased to someone else?

A: Email communications@boldurban.org with the information of the person to whom you wish to transfer the ticket. All ticket transfers must be submitted by 11:59pm CST on Monday, May 13th.

Q: Are there directed or subsidized tickets for people who volunteered at B.U.R.N. Burn in 2018?

A: B.U.R.N. burn is not offering any directed or subsidized tickets at this time.
