Just like a van on Nevada Route 447, with LED hula hoops bungeed to the top, our calendar is getting closer to Burning Man.
If you are making your virgin voyage to the big burn in Black Rock City in 2017, its orientation time. (If you are a veteran of the playa new to Chicago, or planning a future trip, feel free to stop by as well)
Flipit and Hambone (with Ranger Phantom and more guests) will explain how the city works, offer tips for you to survive and thrive on the playa, and - most importantly - answer any burning questions YOU still have about getting ready for that thing in the desert, and meet folks on the same journey. There will also be ephemera and videos from and about the event and to set the mood.
Around 9:30, we'll make time for representatives from the ChiCargo program and Cobra Bus, who can help you ship gear and bikes to Nevada. We'll also let any veterans who want to invite virgins to participate in their playa-bound art, theme camp, or volunteer opportunities introduce themselves. Then we'll wrap up with some social time and Leave No Trace cleanup of the space.
